My Songs
Music’s been important to me ever since my 11th grade girlfriend nagged me into joining the choir, and then a year later I learned to play guitar. I’ve still got the same two Martins I bought in 1974. Wish I pulled them out more often than once a year or so at our annual family Christmas party (see pic above)…At one point I could play all these songs without a cheat sheet. Now I definitely need a cheat sheet and even then it’s not certain I’ll get through it without mucking it up. This has nothing to do with aging…just lack of practice. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Anyway, so that I may never again be without lyrics wherever there’s an internet connection available, here’s my list. This is actually about 20% of what I once knew …. just the ones I can think of right now on a Saturday afternoon…..hopefully I’ll add the other ones as they come back to me. Plus the ones I wrote — I’ll put them here too at some point. But not just now. (Too much work …. for all of these I could copy/paste the lyrics. For my own I’ve got to dredge the lyrics up out of the misty past. Oh well.)
