Since yesterday, the LA Times has been running a poll — “Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Manny Pacquiao: Who Would Win”.   One might think the results would be fairly close, given that most experts are on record believing it would be a close fight and each party has adherents and detractors.   But the results of this poll are pretty onesided.  Is this a function of one party or the other having a more organized following?  Or is reflective of popular opinion even though it’s not a “scientific” poll?

Now …. I’m sure there will be those who say this simply reflects the organized nature of Pacquiao’s rabid following, particularly his fellow Filipinos. But think about that…..an American newspaper, in the second largest American city, being overwhelmed by Filipinos?
