Try to Imagine….

As we’re working on the dol-fin suit and talking about monofin swimming, I realize we’re talking about something that many of you have never seen or considered and I want to try to get you to imagine a few things so you can get a better sense of where this takes us.

First — consider the following. In the world of “free-diving”, a monofin is typically used because it allows the free diver to go deeper, with less energy (and hence ability to hold breath longer), and the adherents to this consider it a powerful, almost spiritual thing.

Now … consider: Tiger Woods is an avid free diver who can dive to 100 ft and can hold his breath for 4 minutes. That’s right 4 minutes. (Think Nike, endorsements, etc)

Also — pls a look at this “performance free diving link” which shows a diver with monofin who, in competition, swims down a rope that measures the depth, then back up. Performance Free Diving

Now … take a look at this link from YouTube. This will really give you the feeling of what we’re going to show. This is Guillame Nery’s world record free dive to 109 meters (approx 350 feet). It’s really worth watching this because you will see how the human form looks almost like a dolphin, and with the music and the way they present it — all you have to do is imagine in our movie seeing s free diver like this swimming with dolphins — not just along the surface, but diving and staying down for 2-3 minutes in one take (think opening titles), looking much like this incredible video–but with the human diver surrounded by dolphins.

Anyway — if you watch this link and use a little imagination, you will see that we have the capability of doing something that is stunning and has never been seen before in a movie.
